Clutch End Cover, Removing And Installing: Notes

- Clutch Cover Plate Guide Sleeve:T10302
CAUTION:
This procedure contains mandatory replaceable parts. Refer to component overview prior to starting procedure.
Mandatory Replacement Parts
- Clutch End Cover
- Circlip - Clutch End Cover
NOTE:
Clean the :T10302 before using, and do not use any scratched sleeves
Brief Description
The clutch cover closes the transmission toward the outside. It is held in place by a circlip. Remove the circlip and pry out the clutch end cover. Always replace the clutch end cover and the locking ring. Never use a hammer to install the clutch cover and never lubricate the center seal or touch it. If this should occur, the clutch cover will certainly leak!
- Transmission removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING .
- Transmission fluid drained. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID, DRAINING AND FILLING .
- Securely install the transmission vertically in the assembly bracket. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
