Installing the Intermediate Bearing Free of Tension

-- Align the intermediate bearing in its elongated holes so the driveshaft or bearing is not under stress.

-- Tighten the intermediate bearing only after the driveshaft has been attached.

-- Tighten the driveshaft and intermediate bearing. Refer to OVERVIEW - DRIVESHAFT .

-- Tighten the pendulum support with >>new<< bolts. Refer to SUBFRAME .

-- Install the center tunnel heat shield under the intermediate bearing. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Install the exhaust system rear section. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS [For engine(s) CRUA] or EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS [For engine(s) CNSB, CNSA, CXBB, CXBA, CXCB, CXCA] .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
