Right Flange Shaft, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Follow these instructions exactly to avoid damaging flange shaft polygon bearing.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- If equipped, remove the right drive axle heat shield from the bevel box -arrows-. Refer to DRIVE AXLE .

-- Remove the right drive axle. Refer to DRIVE AXLE .

-- Place the :SMN372500  under the transmission.

-- Drain the fluid from the bevel box, bolt -A-.

-- Then install the new bolt and tighten.

-- Remove the bolt for the right flange shaft -arrow- using the :T10107A  .

-- To remove and install the flange shaft, install two bolts into the flange and counterhold it using a pry bar.

-- Remove the flange shaft using the :T10037  .
