General Description
The Fuel Injectors -- are supplied with voltage via the input lines, known as high lines, and the output lines, known as low lines. The voltage at each injection valve is the difference of the voltages of the high line and the low line measured at the output terminals of the power stage for the injection valves. The fault determination is carried out in the signal processor IC (integrated circuit) of the driver module of the injection valves, which transmits the fault signals to the engine control module Engine Control Module -J623-. Every driver module is responsible for two injection valves. When detecting a fault, a distinction is made between global and local faults. A global fault is stored when a fault has been detected in the system of the injection valves and no exact source is known. If the present fault can be further localized, the corresponding local fault is detected in addition.

Test Requirements
- Fuses OK.
- Battery voltage OK.
- Switch OFF all electrical and electronic accessories.
- Vehicles with Auto. Transmission, ensure Selector Lever position is in "P".
- Vehicles with Man. Transmission, ensure Shifter Lever position is in "N" with Parking Brake applied.
