Input Flange Seal: Removing

-- Disconnect the exhaust system at the clamping sleeve -arrows- and remove the rear section of the exhaust system. Refer to Description And Operation .

NOTE:

Do not bend the exhaust system coupling element more than 10° or it could be damaged.

-- Remove the driveshaft. Refer to one of the following:

Passat, refer to

Tiguan, refer to DRIVESHAFT

CC and Golf R, refer to

Golf R

-- Secure the vehicle to the hoist using the Tensioning StrapT10038.

-- Secure the vehicle to the hoist using the Tensioning StrapT10038.

If the vehicle is not secured, there is the risk that it could slip from the hoist.

-- Remove the input flange nut.

A - M10 x 25 bolts

B - M8 x 15 bolt (installed in the Driveshaft Handle3145 from the rear)

-- Remove the input flange. Use the Puller - Kukko 3 Jaw - 100x100mm12/1 if it is difficult.

-- Remove the seal using the Puller - Seal LeverVW681.
