Cooling System, Filling

Conditions:

The needle on the pressure gauge -arrow- must move until it is well below the green area.

-- >>Slowly<< open the shut-off valve -A-, to prevent the foaming up of the coolant.

Coolant is extracted from the :VAS6968 container by pressure in the coolant system and the system is filled.

-- Close after filling the shut-off valve -A-.

-- Remove the :VAS6096/2 , :VAS6096 and :VAS691005/5 from the coolant expansion tank.

-- Fill the coolant up to the weld seam -arrow- and seal the coolant expansion tank.

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- If the vehicle has a parking heater, switch it on for about 30 seconds.

-- Set the temperature to "HI".

-- Press AC to turn off the A/C compressor.

-- Connect The Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

-- Turn on the ignition and select the following menu item. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

NOTE:

Answer yes to the question "Was the cooling system filled using the -VAS6096/2-", to perform the >>shorter<< bleeding.

-- Follow the instructions given in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Let the engine cool.
