Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Briefly open the coolant reservoir cap -1- to reduce the residual pressure in the coolant system.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the clamp -2- and remove the air duct pipe -1-.

-- Remove the cable bracket from the transmission. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM (02E) , SELECTOR MECHANISM (02Q, 02QA) , SELECTOR MECHANISM (0CG) or SELECTOR MECHANISM (0AF) .

-- Free up the wiring harness -1-.

-- Remove the nut -4- and bolts -2 and 3-.

-- Push the left coolant pipe slightly to the left.

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Remove the double bolt -2- and the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-.

NOTE:

Pry out an O-ring or spacer ring stuck in the cylinder head using a drift.
