Coolant Pump Toothed Belt Sprocket, Removing And Installing, Version 1: Removing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

-- Remove the coolant pump. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the bolt -1- by using the :T10172A  with the :T10172/2  .

-- Remove the bolt and the toothed belt sprocket -2-.

NOTE:

Replace the seal on the camshaft after removing the toothed belt sprocket.

Seal, Removing

The seal -1- is located approximately 15 mm behind the end of the camshaft.

-- Guide the :T10498  over the camshaft and up to the seal.

-- Bring the tip of the :T10498  under the seal -by turning it-.

-- Pull the seal forward off the camshaft.

Seal, Installing

-- Push the new seal -1- over the end of the camshaft.

NOTE:

The pin on the camshaft must fit in the opening in the :T10505  .

-- Place the :T10505  on the camshaft and slide it all the way in the direction of -arrow- by hand.

-- Remove the :T10505  .

The seal must rest in the camshaft groove.
