Automatic Glow Time Control Module -J179-

The glow plug system is activated via an Automatic Glow Time Control Module -J179-. The Automatic Glow Time Control Module -J179- is OBD capable.

If there is a malfunction in the glow plug system, a DTC memory entry will be stored in the engine control module.

Checking the glow plug system is explained in the "Guided Fault Finding" .

Electronically controlled glow plugs with a separate glow plug control module were installed in order to reach a quick starting function.

Each glow plug is activated and diagnosed separately.
