Turbocharger, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

-- Push the screwdriver -2- into the opening -arrow- on the turbocharger.

-- Pry out the seal -1-.

-- Replace the seals, gaskets, O-rings and cylinder head nuts.

-- Fill the turbocharger with engine oil at the oil supply line connection.

-- Reconnect the connections and reroute the wires. Refer to the appropriate WIRING DIAGRAM.

-- During installation, all heat shield boots must be installed at the same location.

-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING - Check the coolant level. .

-- Check the oil level.

-- To ensure the turbocharger is supplied with enough oil, let the engine run at idle for about one minute after installing the turbocharger. Avoid increasing the engine speed prematurely.

After Installing New Parts (Engine/Partial Engine, Cylinder Head or Turbocharger)

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Select the following menu item: if equipped, select the 01 - Oil Pressure For Intake  function.
