Mass Airflow Sensor -G70-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Follow the next steps carefully to ensure the correct function of the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70-.

NOTE:

If the air filter element is very dirty or soaked, dirt particles or moisture may have contaminated the mass airflow sensor and may be causing false mass airflow values. This results in reduced performance, since a lower injection quantity is calculated.

Always use an original air filter element.

Always replace damaged gaskets (leaked air).

Use a silicone-free lubricant when installing the air duct hose and gasket.

The hose connections as well as air duct pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with standard production hose clamps.

-- Check the mass airflow sensor and air guide hose (intake air side) for salt residue, dirt and leaves.

-- Check the intake channels up to the air filter insert for dirt. If any contaminants are discovered, clean the air filter housing.

-- If necessary clean the upper and lower section by washing or vacuuming.

-- To install, insert the Mass Airflow Sensor -G70- -2- and turn in the direction of -arrow A-.
