Shavings In The Fuel Delivery Unit And Reservoir

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required
- Suction Pump :VAS5226
-- Clean the fuel delivery unit and the fuel tank with the Suction Pump :VAS5226 .
-- Fill the fuel tank with five liters of diesel fuel.
-- Drain the fuel tank completely again as described above. Refer to Engine Was Not Started with Incorrect Fuel .
-- Replace the following high pressure components:
- High pressure pump. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .
- High pressure lines. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS/HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL) .
- High pressure reservoir (rail) including the Fuel Pressure Regulator Valve -N276- and Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247-. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS/HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL) .
- Injector. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS/HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL) .
- Fuel return lines (oil overflow lines). Refer to FUEL INJECTORS/HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL) .
- Fuel filter. Refer to FUEL FILTER .
-- Fuel the vehicle.
-- Bleed the fuel system. Refer to INJECTION SYSTEM . .
-- Perform a road test.
