Crankshaft Seal, Replacing, Belt Pulley Side: Procedure

-- Remove the toothed belt. Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket -1- -arrow-.

CAUTION:

- Do not turn the crankshaft out of TDC.

-- Pry out the seal using the :T20143/2 in direction of -arrow-.

-- Clean the contact and sealing surface.

NOTE:

Do not coat the new seal with oil.

-- Slide the new seal onto the :T10485/2 in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Remove the :T10485/3 in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Separate the fitting sleeve and guide sleeve.

-- Mount the :T10485/2 with the seal -1- on the crankshaft.

-- Install the seal -2- with the :T10485/1 and the bolt -1- for the belt pulley all the way.

-- Mount the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket on the crankshaft.

The contact surface between the vibration damper and the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket must not have any oil or grease on it.
The milled surface -arrow- on the crankshaft toothed belt sprocket must fit on the milled surface on the crankcase pin.

-- Install the toothed belt (adjust valve timing). Refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
