Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

CAUTION:

There is a risk of malfunctions from loose exhaust gas temperature sensor.

  • The exhaust gas temperature sensor threads are coated. Do NOT coat the exhaust gas temperature sensor additionally with hot bolt paste and make sure to tighten to the tightening specification.
NOTE:

Protect the exhaust gas temperature sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped exhaust gas temperature sensor may not be used again.

-- Pay attention to the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- installation position. Use the previously applied marking to do this.

-- Note the electrical connections and routing. Refer to RELAY CARRIERS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOXES and the appropriate WIRING DIAGRAM.

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
