EGR Valve 2 -GX6-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [XXXX]: Removing

EGR Valve 2 -GX6- consists of:

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the air duct pipe with connection from the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER CONNECTIONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1- and -2- and remove the EGR hose.

-- Push the heat shield aside and disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the EGR Valve 2 -GX6-.

CAUTION:

The EGR motor is protected from heat damage by a heat shield. If the heat shield mat is damaged, it must be replaced and the adjustment motor must be checked for heat damage and replaced if necessary.
