EGR Temperature Sensor -G98-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

CAUTION:

There is a risk of malfunctions from loose exhaust gas temperature sensor.

  • The threads from the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3 -G495- and Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 4 -G648- are coated. Do NOT additionally coat with hot bolt paste and make sure to tighten to the tightening specification.
NOTE:

Protect the exhaust gas temperature sensor against knocks and impacts. A dropped exhaust gas temperature sensor may not be used again.

-- Electrical connections and routing. Refer to RELAY CARRIERS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOXES . and the appropriate WIRING DIAGRAMS

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
