EGR Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the battery tray -1-. Refer to BATTERY .

-- Remove the connection from the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER CONNECTIONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left coolant pipes. Refer to LEFT COOLANT PIPES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear coolant pipe. Refer to REAR COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the resonator -1-.

-- Remove the shift and selector cable from the transmission, remove the cable bracket and move it to the side with the cables. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM (02E) , SELECTOR MECHANISM (02Q, 02QA) , SELECTOR MECHANISM (0CG) and SELECTOR MECHANISM .

-- If equipped, disconnect the connector -2- from the EGR Temperature Sensor -G98- -1- and free up the wire.

USA Vehicles: 

-- Remove EGR Valve 2 -GX6-. Refer to EGR Valve 2 -GX6-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [CVCA, CUUA, CUUB, DELA, DEBA, DEJA, DGMA] .

-- Loosen the hose clamp -2- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Open the screw-type clamp -3- and push it to the emissions control module.

-- Remove the bolt -5- with the :T10501  and loosen the bolt -6-.

-- Remove the EGR cooler -1-.

-- Push the heat shield aside and disconnect the connector -5-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -3- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -4- and remove the coolant hose.

-- Loosen the bolt -6- and push the screw-type clamp to the particulate filter.

-- Remove the bolt -1- with the :T10501  and loosen the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the EGR cooler.
