Crankshaft Needle Bearing, Replacing: Installing

NOTE:
On open bearings, the side of needle bearing with writing on it must be readable when installed. Drive in the one sided closed bearing using the closed side in the correct crankshaft.
-- Clean the bearing seat in the crankshaft and apply a thin coat of grease.
-- Drive the needle bearing into the crankshaft up to the installation depth -a- using the :VW207C .
NOTE:
If the needle bearing was driven in too deeply, it must be replaced, because it will be damaged when it is removed.
-- Install the transmission. Refer to the appropriate information TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (02Q, 02QA) , TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (0CG) or TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (0AF) .
