Charge Air Cooling Circuit Cooler, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

NOTE:

Hoses are secured with spring clips. If a repair is required only use spring clips.

The :VAS6340  are recommended for installing spring clamps.

When installing coolant hoses, make sure they are free of stress and do not come into contact with other components (observe markings on coolant connections and hoses).

-- Remove the noise insulation or impact guard. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the fan shroud together with the radiator fan. Refer to FAN SHROUD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the radiator. Refer to RADIATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER .

-- Lift the clamp -arrow- and remove the upper right hose from the charge air cooling circuit radiator.

-- Remove the radiator mount bolts -arrows- on the lock carrier.

Vehicles With A/C System

-- Remove the condenser bolts -arrows-.

-- Secure the condenser to the lock carrier.

NOTE:

Ensure that the coolant lines and hoses are not stretched, kinked or bent.

Continuation For All Vehicles 

-- Remove the radiator for the lower charge air cooling circuit cooler from the bracket.

-- Remove the radiator for the charge air cooling circuit cooler downward.
