Dial Gauge Holder VW 387
Dial Gauge 0-10 mm VAS 6079

Test Sequence:

-- Insert the valve into the guide. The valve stem end must be flush with the guide. Use only the intake valve in the intake guide and the exhaust valve in the exhaust guide.

-- Determine the tilt clearance:

Intake and exhaust valve wear limit: 0.8 mm

NOTE:

If the wear limit is exceeded, measure again using new valves. If the wear limit is still exceeded, replace the cylinder head.

If the valve is to be replaced as part of a repair, use the new valve for the calculation.
