Driver Side Rear Side Airbag Crash Sensor G256: Removing
NOTE:
The driver side rear side airbag crash sensor -G256- is installed on the driver side in front of the rear wheel housing.
WARNING:
Observe safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A6, 09M] Removal and Installation
-- Move the left rear bench seat as far forward as possible.
-- Remove the rear wheel housing trim:
- without rear side airbags: REAR WHEEL HOUSING TRIM WITHOUT REAR SIDE AIRBAG
- With rear side airbag:REAR WHEEL HOUSING TRIM WITH REAR SIDE AIRBAG
-- Press the connector lock and remove the connector -1- from the crash sensor -3-.
-- Remove bolt -2- (6 Nm).
