Driver And Passenger Side Airbag: Removing

-- Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT

-- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.

-- Remove the front seat belt latch FRONT SEAT BELT LATCHES 

-- Remove the tunnel-side trim. Refer to TUNNEL SIDE TRIM .

Passenger Seat Without Height Adjustment 

-- Remove the backrest adjustment wheel BACKREST ADJUSTING WHEEL

-- Remove the trim on the door sill side DOOR SILL SIDE TRIM, PASSENGER SEAT WITHOUT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Passenger Seat with Pass-Through 

-- Remove the trim on the door sill side DOOR SILL SIDE TRIM, PASSENGER SEAT WITH PASS-THROUGH

Seats With Manual Height Adjustment 

-- Remove the backrest adjustment wheel BACKREST ADJUSTING WHEEL

-- Remove the trim on the door sill side DOOR SILL SIDE TRIM, FRONT SEATS WITH MANUAL HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

Power Driver Seat 

-- Remove the trim on the door sill side DOOR SILL SIDE TRIM, POWER DRIVER SEAT

-- Disconnect the two backrest motor wiring harnesses on the bottom side of the seat frame. Detach the wiring harnesses from the seat frame.

All Vehicles 

-- Remove the backrest. Refer to BACKREST

-- Remove the lumbar adjustment lever, if equipped LUMBAR ADJUSTMENT LEVER

-- Remove the backrest and folding table, if equipped BACKREST FOLDING TABLE

-- Remove cover and upholstery from front seat backrest FRONT SEAT BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION

-- Separate wiring harness -1- from backrest frame.

-- Remove the bolt -2- (9 Nm).

-- Remove side airbag -3- from mounting in backrest frame.
