Driver Airbag Unit, From 06.2011: Installing
Follow all Safety Precautions when working on an airbag. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
-- Connect the airbag connector -2- in the connector. The airbag connector must click when it locks.
-- Connect the connector -1-. This is necessary only on the multifunction steering wheel.
-- Push the airbag unit into the steering wheel.
-- Gently pull on the airbag unit to make sure the it is locked securely inside steering wheel on the left and right sides.
Make sure the connectors are installed correctly and are secure.
Make sure the wires do not get caught.
Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.
