Airbag Control Module J234: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all Safety Precautions when working on an airbag. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

-- Remove the footwell trim. Refer to FOOTWELL TRIM

NOTE:

For the sake of illustration, center console is not depicted in the illustrations.

-- Remove the two nuts -1- (2 Nm)

-- Remove the left bracket -2-, remove the right bracket -3-.

-- Open the connector lock mechanism and pull it off the control module.

-- Remove the nuts -1- and -2- (9 Nm).

-- Remove the control module -3- from the vehicle.
