   • No replacement part
6. Plug
   • 15 Nm
   • No replacement part
7. Cylinder Head Bolt
   • Replace
   • Sequence for loosening and tightening (refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ), Cylinder head, removing and installing
8. Connection
   • Coolant hose connection diagram, refer to COOLANT HOSE CONNECTION DIAGRAM .
9. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
10. O-Ring
    • Replace
11. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
12. Lifting Eye
13. Cylinder Head Gasket
    • Replace
    • After replacing, replace entire amount of coolant.
14. Bolt
    • 15 Nm
15. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
16. Rear Toothed Belt Guard
17. Toothed Belt
    • Mark direction of rotation before removing
    • Check for wear
    • Do not kink
    • Removing and installing, refer to TOOTHED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
18. Cylinder Head
    • Check for distortion, refer to Fig 2
    • Resurfacing sealing surfaces, refer to Figure
    • Removing and installing, refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • After replacing, replace entire amount of coolant.
19. Oil Separator
20. Cylinder Head Cover Gasket
    • Replace if damaged.
    • Before mounting, coat the bearing cap/cylinder head transition areas with D 454 300 A2
21. Cylinder Head Cover
    • With wiring guides
22. Bolt
    • 10 Nm
23. Seal

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Straight edge
• Feeler Gauge

• Permissible distortion: 0.1 mm

Minimum distance of the linear surface: 100 mm
