Input Flange Seal: Notes

- Extractor Lever VW 681
- Drive Sleeve 30-20
- Counter Support 3415
- Thrust Piece T10019
- Kukko Puller No. 12/1 100 x 100 mm 12/1
- Torque Wrench V.A.G 1601
- Tensioning Strap T10038
- Engine-/Gearbox Jack V.A.G 1383 A
- Liquid Locking Fluid D 000 600
- M10 x 25 Bolt
- M8 x 15 Socket Hex Head Bolt
Removing
-- Disconnect the exhaust system at the clamping sleeve -arrows- and remove the rear section of the exhaust system. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A6, 09M] Description and Operation .
Do not bend the exhaust system coupling element more than 10° or it could be damaged.
-- Remove the driveshaft. Refer to one of the following:
Tiguan, refer to DRIVESHAFT
-- Secure the vehicle to the hoist using the tensioning straps T10038.
Passat
-- Secure the vehicle to the hoist using the tensioning straps T10038.
Continuation for All
If the vehicle is not secured, there is the risk that it could slip from the hoist.
-- Remove the input flange nut.
A - M10 x 25 bolts
B - M8 x 15 bolt (installed in the counter support 3415 from the rear)
-- Remove the input flange. Use the Kukko puller no. 12/1 100 x 100 mm 12/1 if it is difficult.
-- Remove the seal using the extractor lever VW 681.
Installing
-- Before installation, lightly coat the new seal with high performance gear oil for Haldex coupling 052 175 A2 on the outside circumference and between the sealing lips.
-- Install the new seal using the thrust piece T10019. Do not tilt the seal.
-- Install the input flange using the sleeve 30-20.
-- Install the new nut using liquid locking fluid D 000 600 and tighten it to specification. Refer to TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
A - M10 x 20 bolts
B - M8 x 15 bolt (installed in the counter support 3415 from the rear)
-- Install the driveshaft. Refer to one of the following:
Tiguan, refer to DRIVESHAFT
-- Install the exhaust system and align it so that it is free of tension. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A6, 09M] Description and Operation .
-- Check the oil level in the Haldex clutch. .
