HALDEX Clutch Pump V181: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Place a drip tray underneath.

-- Remove the drain plug -A- and completely drain the high performance gear oil for Haldex coupling.

-- Install the drain plug -A- with a new seal and tighten it to 30 Nm.

-- Disconnect the pump connector -arrow- from the control module.

-- Remove the wiring harness from the housing.

-- Place a drip tray under the final drive.

-- Remove the bolts -1- for the pump.

-- Remove the pump -arrow- from the Haldex clutch housing.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Replace the O-rings -1 and 2-.

-- Lightly coat the O-rings -1 and 2- with high performance gear oil for Haldex coupling 052 175 A2.

-- Push the pump -arrow- all the way into the Haldex clutch housing.

-- Tighten the bolts -1- to specification, refer to TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Clip the wiring harness to the Haldex clutch securely and connect the connector -arrow- to the control module.

-- Add high performance gear oil for Haldex coupling and check the oil level in the Haldex clutch. Refer to HALDEX CLUTCH OIL LEVEL, CHECKING OR FILLING .
