HALDEX Clutch Oil Level, Checking Or Filling: Notes

The high performance gear oil for Haldex coupling 052 175 A1 is available as a replacement part.

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) V.A.G 1331
• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing, and Information System VAS 5051
• Diagnostic Cable, 3 m with Power Supply VAS 5051/1
• or Diagnostic Cable, 5 m without Power Supply VAS 5051/3
• Charging Device F/Haldex 2 Coup. VAS 6291

Prerequisites: 

• The oil temperature must be between 20 and 40 °C (68 and 104 °F).
• The vehicle must be horizontal.

• The oil temperature can be reached by driving the vehicle for awhile.

-- Connect the vehicle diagnostic tester.

-- Select "Suspension (Repair Group 01; 40 through 49)" in the display.

-- Select "AWD with Haldex clutch" in the display.

-- Select "01 - OBD-capable system" in the display.

-- Select "AWD Haldex" in the display.

-- Select "electrical components" in the display.

-- Select "oil temperature" in the display.
