HALDEX Clutch Oil Level, Checking Or Filling: Filling

Requirement:

The high performance gear oil for Haldex coupling is available as a replacement part.

-- Lift the vehicle.

-- Place the drip tray VAS 6208 under final drive.

-- Remove the oil filler plug -arrow-. (Shown with the rear final drive removed for the sake of clarity).

-- Install the adapter -A- until seated.

-- Lock the elbow -B- onto the adapter -A-.

-- Add enough oil using the charging device F/Haldex 2 coup. VAS 6291 until it runs out between the filler tool adapter and the transmission housing.

-- Remove the filler tool and adapter; a little oil left over will run out.

The oil level is correct when the Haldex clutch is filled up to the lower edge of the oil fill hole.

-- Install the plug -arrow- and tighten it to 15 Nm.

-- Finally, recheck the oil level in the Haldex clutch. Refer to CHECKING .
