HALDEX Clutch, Checking For Proper Function

NOTE:

Check the Haldex clutch during a test drive using the vehicle diagnosis and service system VAS 5052.

WARNING:

Measurement and testing procedures should be performed as follow to avoid the risk of an accident:

Only the vehicle diagnostic tester VAS 5051 A or VAS 5052 is used to read out measured value blocks. The device must always be secured on the rear seat and operated from there by a second person.

-- Connect the vehicle diagnostic tester.

-- Select "suspension (Repair Group 01; 40 through 49)" on the display.

-- Select "AWD with Haldex clutch (4th generation)" on the display.

-- Select "01 - system capable of on board diagnostics" on the display.

-- Select "functions" on the display.

-- Select "output diagnostic test mode" on the display.

-- Follow the instructions on the tester.
