Ribbed Belt

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Release tool T10060A

Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to Description and Operation .

-- Mark the direction of rotation of the ribbed belt.

-- Rotate the belt tensioner in the -direction of the arrow- to release the tension on the ribbed belt.

-- Secure the belt tensioner using the T10060A.

-- Remove the ribbed belt.

Installing

-- Installation is performed in reverse order. When doing this note the following:

NOTE:

When installing the ribbed belt, note the direction of rotation of the belt and be sure that belt is seated correctly on all pulleys.

Install ribbed belt on the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor pulley last.

After completing the repairs always:

-- Start the engine and check the belt running.
