Oil Pressure, Checking

Conditions

Checking the oil pressure switch -F1-. Refer to Oil Pressure Switch -F1-, CHECKING .

Test Sequence

-- Increase the engine speed further.

At 2000 RPM and an oil temperature of 80 °C (176 °F), the oil pressure must be at least 2.0 bar.
The oil pressure must not exceed 7.0 bar at higher engine speeds.

If the specification is not obtained:

-- Replace the oil filter bracket, as necessary. Refer to OIL FILTER BRACKET AND OIL COOLER OVERVIEW .

NOTE:

Also, mechanical damage, for example, bearing damage can also be the cause of too low oil pressure.
