Without Engine Pre-Warmer

  1. Coolant Expansion Tank, Lower Hose 
  2. Coolant Expansion Tank, Upper Hose 
  3. Bolt 
    • 10 Nm
  4. Ventilation Pipe 
  5. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62- 
  6. Retaining Clip 
  7. O-ring 
    • Always replace.
  8. Transmission Oil Cooler 
    • Only on vehicles with the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG®).
  9. to the Radiator Upper Connection 
  10. Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Supply Hose 
    • On vehicles without a transmission fluid cooler.

      Transmission Oil Cooler Coolant Return Line

    • On vehicles with a transmission oil cooler.
  11. Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Return Hose 
  12. Engine Oil Cooler 
  13. Thermostat/4/2 Way Valve with Thermostat 
    • Checking: warm the thermostat in water.
    • Opens at: approximately 87 °C (188.6 °F)
    • Stops at: approximately 102 °C (215.6 °F)
    • Opening travel: minimum 7 mm
    • Thermostat removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT .
    • 4/2 way valve with thermostat removing and installing, refer to 4/2 WAY VALVE WITH THERMOSTAT .
  14. Connecting Piece 
  15. Bolt 
    • 15 Nm
  16. to the Radiator Lower Connection 
  17. Coolant Pump 
  18. Bolt 
    • 40 Nm
