Transmission Fluid Pan: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

-- Clean the two magnets in the pan. Make sure the magnets touch the pan completely.

-- Check the gasket for damage and make sure all of the spacers (quantity: 8) are present.

Otherwise, replace the gasket.

-- Install the pan and gasket; when doing this be sure not to pinch any wires.

-- Make sure the pan gasket fits correctly.

-- Tighten the transmission pan bolts -arrows- diagonally and in several steps. Tightening specification, refer to FASTENER TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Install the overflow pipe -C-. Tightening specification, refer to FASTENER TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Replace the seal -B- for the inspection plug -A-.

-- Install the plug -A- and new seal -B- hand tight only.

-- Fill the ATF and check the level. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING .
