Coolant Thermostat Housing With Coolant Thermostat

Removing

-- Remove the generator. Refer to [For transmission(s) 0A4, 02E, 09G, 02Q] Removal and Installation .

-- Disconnect the coolant pipes. Refer to COOLANT PIPES .

-- Disconnect the coolant hose -2- from the coolant thermostat housing. Pull out the retaining clamp -1- to do so.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the coolant thermostat housing with coolant thermostat from the engine.

Installing

-- Clean the sealing surface for the O-ring.

-- Replace the O-ring and lubricate it with coolant.

-- Position the coolant thermostat housing to the engine block and tighten the bolts evenly.

Tightening specification: 15 Nm.

-- The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the removal sequence.
