Fuel Level Sensor

NOTE:

Phased-in introduction of fuel delivery units with a changed fuel level sensor.

Removing, Old Version 

-- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .

-- Release the electrical connectors -arrows- and remove the electrical wires -1, 2 and 3-.

-- Lift the retaining tabs -4 and 5- using a screwdriver and pull the fuel level sensor downward and off in the -direction of the arrow-.

Installing, Old Version 

-- Install the fuel level sensor into the guides on the fuel delivery unit and press up until engagement.

-- Connect the electrical connectors and check for secure locking.

-- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .

Removing, New Version 

-- Remove the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .

-- Pull the fuel level sensor slightly to the side and simultaneously upward.

-- Release the electrical connectors and remove the electrical wires.

Installing, New Version 

-- Connect the connectors and check for secure locking.

-- Install the fuel level sensor into the guide in the fuel delivery unit and press down until engagement.

-- Install the fuel delivery unit. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT .
