Brake System Vacuum Pump

Component location of Brake System Vacuum Pump -V192- is located on automatic transmission at front in direction of travel.

It is not possible to service the brake system vacuum pump. If there is a malfunction, replace brake system vacuum pump.

Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the VAS 5051

Removing

-- Disconnect vacuum hose -1- from brake system vacuum pump.

-- Disconnect harness connector -2- for brake system vacuum pump.

-- Remove remaining harness connectors and wires from bracket -3-.

-- Remove the -arrows- bracket -3- with brake system vacuum pump.

-- Then unscrew -arrows- brake system vacuum pump -1- from bracket -2-.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening Specifications

Component	Tightening Specifications
Brake system vacuum pump to bracket	8 Nm
Bracket to automatic transmission	25 Nm
