Instrument Cluster, From Model Year 2010

Before removing the instrument cluster, perform the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, REPLACEMENT  procedure to read out the data saved in the Instrument Cluster Control Module -J285-.

CAUTION:
  • Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.
  • Remove the key.

Removal 

NOTE:

It is not necessary to remove the steering wheel.

-- Pull the steering wheel all the way out and then lower as far down as it will go.

-- Remove the upper section of the steering column trim. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Pull the instrument cluster back out of the instrument panel while being careful of the connected wires.

-- Move the securing clip -1- in -direction of arrow- and disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the instrument cluster from the vehicle.

Installation 

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Tighten the threaded connections to 1.5 Nm.
