Input Shaft Seal

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

-- Remove the transmission.

-- Remove the clutch release lever with release bearing and guide sleeve. Refer to CLUTCH RELEASE LEVER WITH RELEASE BEARING .

-- Drive the seal out of the guide sleeve.

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the contact surface for the seal on the input shaft.

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lips -arrow- half way with sealing grease for seal G 052 128 A1.

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the seal with transmission fluid.

-- Install the seal all the way into the guide sleeve.

-- Install the clutch release lever with release bearing and guide sleeve. Refer to CLUTCH RELEASE LEVER WITH RELEASE BEARING .

-- Install the transmission.
