Clutch Overview, LUK

  1. Dual mass flywheel
    • Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

      Gas engines, refer to Removal and Installation .

    • Make sure it fits securely on the alignment pins.
    • Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.
  2. Clutch Plate
    • Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH, LUK .
    • Only replace together with the Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) pressure plate.
    • Installed position, refer to CLUTCH, LUK .
  3. SAC Pressure Plate
    • SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"
    • Only replace together with the clutch plate.
    • Removing and installing, refer to CLUTCH, LUK .
    • Check the ends of the diaphragm spring, refer to CLUTCH, LUK .
    • Checking the spring and rivet connections, refer to CLUTCH, LUK .
    • Only check the position of the adjustment mechanism with new pressure plates. Refer to CLUTCH, LUK .
  4. Bolt
    • M6 = 13 Nm
    • M7 = 20 Nm
    • Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
