Readiness code, setting (m.y. 1998 and above): Notes

Do NOT switch engine OFF during test sequence.
If test sequence is interrupted or not adhered to, Readiness code will not be set.
For this procedure, raise engine speed with vehicle stationary. Apply hand brake and place Manual transmission in neutral or automatic Transmission Range selector lever in "N".

Check DTC memory, see CHECK DTC MEMORY (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 02) .

If one or more DTCs are recognized:

Erase DTC memory, see ERASE DTC MEMORY (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 05) .
