NOTE:
- Do not stop the engine (switch the ignition off) during the test sequence
- If the test sequence is interrupted, or if it is not followed, the readiness code will not be generated.
- This procedure requires that the engine be revved up while stationary; therefore apply the parking brake and place automatic transmission vehicles in Neutral.
- Check DTC memory, see CHECK DTC MEMORY (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 02) .
If one or more DTCs are recognized:
- Erase DTC memory, see ERASE DTC MEMORY (SCAN TOOL FUNCTION 05) .
