- VAG 1348/3A remote control connected
- VAG 1318 pressure gauge connected
NOTE:
With this check, the fuel supply line connections from the Fuel Pump (FP) Module to the point at which the VAG 1318 pressure gauge is connected will be checked for leaks at the same time.
- Close pressure gauge valve (lever at right angle to direction of flow -B-).
- Operate remote control at short intervals, until pressure gauge reads approx. 4 bar (58 psi).
- Carefully open valve to relieve excess pressure. If pressure builds too high,
WARNING:
Fuel may spray out when opening the valve. Hold a container over the open pressure gauge connection.
- Observe drop in fuel pressure.
- After 10 minutes the pressure must not drop below 3 bar (44 psi).
- Check fuel line connections, if necessary, for leaks and/or replace Fuel Pump Module. See FUEL PUMP (FP) MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
