Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing
NOTE:
- Always replace seals and gaskets.
- The lower section of the toothed belt guard need not be removed.
- The toothed belt should be left in position on the crankshaft sprocket.
- Cover the toothed belt with a cloth to protect it from coolant before removing the coolant pump.
- Drain coolant. See Draining .
- Remove poly V-belt. See REMOVING & INSTALLING: POLY V-BELT
- Remove tensioning element for poly V-belt.
- Remove upper and center sections of toothed belt guard.
- Take toothed (timing) belt off coolant pump toothed belt sprocket. See ENGINE CODES AEG, AVH, AZG, BEV or ENGINE CODE BBW .
- Unscrew securing bolt -1- for rear toothed belt guard -2-.
- Unscrew securing bolts -6- for coolant pump and remove coolant pump -5-.
