Coolant Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse sequence. Note the following:

• Moisten new O-ring -4- with coolant.
• Install coolant pump -5-. Installed position: Coolant pump sealing plug faces down.
• Tighten securing bolts -6-. Tightening torque: 15 Nm
• Tighten securing bolt -1- for rear toothed belt guard -2- on cylinder head (place washer -3- underneath). Tightening torque: 20 Nm

• Install toothed belt and adjust timing. See ENGINE CODES AEG, AVH, AZG, BEV or ENGINE CODE BBW
• Install poly V-belt tensioning element. Tightening torque: 25 Nm
• Install poly V-belt. See REMOVING & INSTALLING: POLY V-BELT
• Fill with coolant. See Filling .
