Accelerator Pedal Module

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing 

-- Remove steering column cover -arrows-.

-- Pry out cover cap using a screwdriver, see "Cap" in item:  4.

-- Remove mounting bolt, see "10 Nm" in item:  3.

-- Slide release tool T10238 as shown into openings designated for it until it stops and remove accelerator pedal module.

-- Disconnect harness connector from accelerator pedal module.

NOTE:

With new connectors, press the securing element down.

Installing 

-- Connect the connector -2- to the accelerator pedal module -5- and push the rubber sleeve -1- (if equipped) onto the connector again.

The connector must engage audibly.

-- Press accelerator pedal module on to securing studs -6-.

-- Insert centering pin -7- into hole on vehicle floor.

-- Secure accelerator pedal module with bolt -3- and install cover cap -4-.

-- Reinstall steering column cover.

-- If the accelerator pedal module was replaced, then adapt it to the engine control module.

-- If the accelerator pedal module is replaced in a vehicle with a twin clutch transmission, then the kick-down function must be adapted.
