Airbag Control Module J234

WARNING:

When working on the airbag control module -- always not the safety guidelines when working on airbags, belt tensioners and battery cut-out units. Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

Removing

-- Remove right and left footwell trim from center console (other center console components do not need to be removed):

NOTE:

For clarity, center console is not depicted in the illustration.

-- Open locking mechanism of connector -1- and disconnect wiring harness from control module -2-.

-- Remove three nuts -3- (9 Nm).

-- Remove the control module from the vehicle.

Installing

-- Install in reverse order of removal.

-- Switch on ignition.

WARNING:

Make sure that no persons are in the vehicle.

-- If the control unit was replaced, it must be coded. Adapting components (coding). Refer to COMPONENTS, ADAPTING
