Front Exhaust Pipe With Catalytic Converter

Removing 

-- Remove the engine cover/upper air filter housing. Refer to ENGINE COVER/UPPER AIR FILTER HOUSING .

-- Disconnect heated oxygen sensor -G39- harness connector -arrow- and free up the wire.

-- Remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter to turbocharger nuts -arrows-.

-- Remove the right underbody trim retainers -arrows- and trim.

-- Disconnect the connector for the oxygen sensor after three way catalytic converter -G130- -arrow- and free up the wire.

NOTE:

The flex joint in the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter must not be bent more than 10°, otherwise they may be damaged.

-- Disconnect the exhaust system at the clamping sleeve -arrows-.

-- Remove the front cross member to underbody nuts -arrows- and cross member.

-- Remove the exhaust system suspended mount bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening Specifications 

Component   Nm
Front exhaust pipe to turbocharger 40
Cross member to underbody   25
Suspended mount to subframe   25
Clamping sleeve   25
