Clutch, Removing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

To remove and install the clutch, the transmission must be secured in a vertical position on the assembly stand.

-- Remove the clutch cover. Refer to CLUTCH COVER, REMOVING .

-- Remove the lock ring -2- from the drive plate with a screwdriver -1- -arrow-.

-- Remove the drive plate -arrows-.

-- Remove the circlip -arrow- and dispose of it.

NOTE:

This circlip must be replaced and re-measured during installation.

CAUTION:

Carefully remove the clutch. Make sure that no other parts of the clutch fall out; for this reason, never turn over the clutch.

-- Remove the clutch.

-- Remove the pump shaft -A-.

-- The pump shaft will first be used after the installation of the new clutch. Lay the shaft down until then.
