Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- AND Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor -G509-

Short Description: 

Both sensors are a single component and can only be replaced together. They are coated with oil in the transmission near the Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG R) clutch. Before removing, the DSG transmission Mechatronic -J743- must be removed.

Often, the sensor wire is pulled. This damages it. If the wire was pulled, then the sensor must be replaced.

Removing 

-- Remove the DSG R transmission Mechatronic. Refer to DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743-, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED .

Do not pull on the wire.

-- Remove the bolt and carefully pry out the sensor with a screwdriver or pliers.

Installing 

Install an old sensor only if:

If this is not the case, you should install a new sensor.

-- Coat the sensor with DSG R oil and then install it.

-- Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm.

-- Install the DSG R transmission Mechatronic. Refer to DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743-, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED .

Do not pinch the wire when installing the Mechatronic unit.
